“Change shouldn’t be drastic. It doesn’t need to be quick. It will take time, patience, and motivation.”
is probably the best way how I could describe the Mizuno Mount Faber Run 2010. Being that this was the third time I am participating in this race since 2008, the run have seen little but yet significant changes over the years and had made participating in the race more enjoyable every time. Organizers had made productive changes to ensure that the participant had a really nice time participating in the race.

Trail running is fun but it can also be quite challenging as it typically involves running on Nature trails such as in MacRitchie Reservoir, Bukit Timah or Tampines Mountain Bike Park instead of normal roads or pavement. These trails are usually unpaved and the terrain is very uneven with holes, puddles tree roots or rocks covering the path. Those who are new to trail running will likely learn quickly that twisted ankles and knees are very common while trail running if a proper footwear is not use.

The Running Lab in Novena Square was crowded when I went in. Many were already in their running attire and all too many cameras were seen, flashing their shutters with style. It wasn’t just a normal day for Running Lab and all the people in it. It was a day where Luke McKenzie, a three time Ironman Champion, came to run with runners and triathletes because just so conveniently, he was in Singapore during that time. A nice turn-up of 74 athletes came and the run was broken down into three groups to accommodate the various running speeds; not leaving anyone out. A brief introduction of Luke and Steve was done. Steve Locke is in-charge of -Swiss and he’s a triathlete as well.
